Blustery Boho-Chic Tea Party

Memorable Mommy Daughter Dates.

This boho-chic tea party was made with love for mothers and daughters to come together in their garden or favorite magical spot, sip on tea (or apple juice) and obviously eat everything amazing.

I recently collaborated with some lovely mommas for this darling tea party shoot. This was oh so fun, even with the crazy winds and storm in the near distance.

The lovely Corrine from Sprinkles and Streamers was planning this party and let me know our colors were soft pinks and yellows. I don’t know about you, but I have so much fun planning for a party! Especially when I don’t have to do everything. The joys of collaborating with such a fun team, where everyone can do what they love and excel at.

After my weekly stop at the local farmers market, I found the most gorgeous fresh figs and beets. Immediately, I knew I was planning my recipes around these to use them in the tea party. I love taking non-traditional items and easily elevating them into themed events.

Fresh Fig Spread

Fresh figs, cut lengthwise

Salt Spring Island floral goat cheese

Grown Here Farms blueberry lemon thyme preserve

Lemon, edible flowers (pansies) and fresh thyme to garnish.

So easy right? Literally takes less than 5 minutes to put together, but darlings it’s so incredibly tasty. Spread some goat cheese and preserve on your fig for a delicious one-bite treat.

And then there was flatbread, loaded with local feel-good ingredients.

Just look how adorbs this is!

Mikaela from Kayla’s Sweet Tooth provided the most delicious and equally beautiful naked drip cake. I’m a sucker for naked cakes and this one was stunning.

Melissa from Little Tea Party Rental provided the vintage tea ware and tea cart. Seriously, how beautiful is this set up for mothers and daughters to grab a cup of tea, slice of cake and laugh and play amongst the tall grass and beautiful flowers.

Krystle from Krystle Images captured everything you see her. It was my first time working with her, and dang this lovely momma is talented!

I had so much fun working with Corrine again on this shoot. She created and styled the most gorgeous tablescape and accent decor. We had previously collaborated in May for a fun Cinco de Mayo party. Make sure to head over to her page and read her recap which also featured the flower crowns the girls wore from Ever Red Fresh Designs.

I hope I’ve inspired you to have a tea party of your own sometime soon!
